In summer 2026, I designed, built and project-managed a new WordPress website for Monokl, an established optician and ophthalmology practice with five locations across Croatia. Starting from Figma designs inspired by premium eyewear brands, I built a fully custom, component-based WordPress theme on Advanced Custom Fields Pro, giving the non-technical team an intuitive block-based CMS to manage every page themselves.

Highlights:

– A single source of truth for all 5 branches (hours, addresses, contact emails) driving the booking form’s lead routing, Google Maps integration, and structured local SEO data from one place.

– Branch-aware appointment booking that routes each enquiry straight to the correct location’s inbox.

– Google Maps embeds that resolve to each branch’s actual Google Business listing rather than a generic street pin.

– GDPR-compliant cookie consent banner with Google Consent Mode v2, gating analytics until visitor consent.

– Rich, SEO-optimised content throughout — including formatted text and links in every content field — fully editable without developer involvement.
